Thomas Vermaelen agent downplays exit talk

Thomas Vermaelen's agent has downplayed reports that he is heading for the Arsenal exit.

Alex Kroes said that there is no truth to rumours linking his client with Juventus, despite first-team opportunities at the Emirates Stadium being limited.

"We do not want to take part in this 'game'," he told NapoliCalcioLive. "I want to distance myself from, and deny, these rumours. I deny absolutely everything."

Vermaelen has made just one Premier League appearance all season due to the recurrence of a previous back injury.
