Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly closing in on the signing of Barcelona defender Emerson Royal after agreeing a £25.7m fee for the 22-year-old.
The Brazil international originally joined the Catalan giants in January 2019 but was unable to make a name for himself, instead spending two and a half years on loan at Real Betis.
Emerson has already been handed three appearances in the 2021-22 La Liga season by Ronald Koeman following his return, but Barcelona's volatile financial situation means that they are supposedly open to selling the right-back, who faces competition from Sergino Dest and Sergi Roberto.
Tottenham recently emerged as the favourites for Emerson's signature, and the Daily Mail now claims that Barca have accepted a £25.7m bid after rejecting the chance to swap him for Serge Aurier.
The report adds that Tottenham are still aiming to get Aurier off the books before Tuesday's 11pm deadline, and they have beaten North London rivals Arsenal to the signing of Emerson.
Barcelona have been tipped to make a move for Gunners defender Hector Bellerin as a replacement for Emerson, who previously scored five goals and set up 10 more in 79 games for Betis.
