Atletico Madrid midfielder Thomas Partey is set to join Arsenal in a £45m deal during this summer's transfer window, according to a report.

Atletico Madrid midfielder Thomas Partey is reportedly set to join Arsenal in a £45m deal.

The speculation surrounding the Ghana international's future continues to gather pace, with Atletico boss Diego Simeone recently claiming that "all the best teams in Europe" want the midfielder.

Thomas is thought to have a £45m release clause in his current deal at the Wanda Metropolitano and has allegedly turned down the chance to extend his stay in the Spanish capital.

Arsenal have been consistently linked with the 26-year-old in recent weeks, and according to La Razon, the Gunners will complete a move during this summer's transfer window.

The report claims that a lack of Champions League football will not harm the London club's chances of finalising a deal, and Atletico are already looking at potential replacements.

Thomas, who has scored three times in 39 appearances for Atletico this season, still has three years left to run on his contract at the Wanda Metropolitano.
