Report: Wojciech Szczesny to return to Arsenal as Roma negotiations stall

Arsenal expect to have Wojciech Szczesny back on their books in the summer as negotiations with Roma over another deal for the goalkeeper reportedly encounter problems.

Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny is expected to be back at the Emirates Stadium next season as negotiations between the Gunners and loan club Roma have reportedly stalled.

The 26-year-old spent the past season on loan at the Giallorossi, where he was the number one choice of first Rudi García, who was sacked in January, and his managerial successor, Luciano Spalletti.

According to The Guardian, Roma would like to take Szczesny back for next season but they have so far struggled to put forward an acceptable offer to Arsenal, who paid a percentage of the Poland international's wages last season.

The stopper has two years to run on his Arsenal contract.
