Report: Carl Jenkinson to leave Arsenal this summer

A report claims that Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is prepared to allow Carl Jenkinson to leave the Gunners this summer.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is reportedly prepared to allow Carl Jenkinson to leave the Gunners this summer despite Bacary Sagna's departure.

With Sagna moving on to Manchester City, Jenkinson had been expected to be given the chance to hold down a regular role in the Gunners XI next season.

However, Mathieu Debuchy's likely arrival from Newcastle United has placed Jenkinson's future in doubt.

According to the Daily Mail, Wenger will sanction the sale of the 22-year-old should a sufficient offer be received.

A number of Premier League clubs are believed to be monitoring proceedings.
