Report: Atletico Madrid want Arsenal's Nacho Monreal

Atletico Madrid reportedly consider a summer swoop for Arsenal left-back Nacho Monreal.

Atletico Madrid are reportedly tracking Arsenal left-back Nacho Monreal ahead of a possible transfer.

The 28-year-old joined the Gunners from Malaga last January, but has failed to cement a regular first-team spot in Arsene Wenger's side.

According to the Daily Mail, with Filipe Luis expected to join Chelsea this summer, the Primera Division champions are said to have lined up Monreal as his replacement.

Monreal currently plays second fiddle to Kieran Gibbs at the Emirates.
