Report: Arsenal, West Ham United in for Pablo Fornals

A report claims that Arsenal and West Ham United are weighing up a move for Pablo Fornals, who has impressed in an otherwise disappointing season for Villarreal.

Villarreal midfielder Pablo Fornals is reportedly a transfer target for Premier League pair Arsenal and West Ham United.

The twice-capped Spain international has impressed for the Yellow Submarine in an otherwise disappointing campaign, starting all but one of their La Liga matches.

Manager Luis Garcia has admitted that there has been some interest in 22-year-old from elsewhere and, according to Sport, Arsenal and West Ham are two of the clubs in the running to sign him.

Fornals, who spent two years in Malaga's first team before joining Villarreal in 2017, is believed to have a £28.5m release clause in his contract.

Barcelona were previously tipped to make an offer for Fornals, but they are unlikely to move for another midfielder after reaching an agreement this week to bring in Frenkie de Jong from Ajax in the summer.
