Report: Arsenal plan summer splurge after quiet January

Unai Emery will reportedly receive large funds to strengthen Arsenal's squad at the end of the season, but the Gunners risk losing out on a number of targets this month.

Arsenal boss Unai Emery will have to wait until the summer before further strengthening his squad, according to a report.

The Spaniard is keen to bring in more players this month to add to the five signings made upon his arrival in the summer.

Midfielder Denis Suarez is a top target, with Barcelona wanting £20m to finalise a deal, while Yannick Carrasco and Hector Herrera are also believed to be targets.

The Sun suggests that Arsenal risk missing out on a number of players, however, as Emery will not be allowed to bring in any new faces this month.

A cash injection from their sponsors later this year will go towards Emery's summer transfer kitty, though, and plans are said to already be in place for the end of the season. You can make use of this bet365 bonus code 2019 if you like to bet in your free time.

Arsenal are fifth in the Premier League, three points adrift of the top four.
