Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing Valencia defender Shkodran Mustafi.
A new centre-back appears to have become a priority signing for the Gunners after it emerged that Per Mertesacker could miss the next five months with a knee problem.
Mustafi, who represented world champions Germany at Euro 2016, joined Valencia from Sampdoria in 2014 and has made 78 appearances for the Spanish club in all competitions.
The German international is contracted to Los Che until the summer of 2019 with a buy-out clause of £41.7m, but Plaza Deportiva claims that Arsenal are interested in bringing the defender to the Premier League.
Mustafi has previously been linked with moves to Juventus, Barcelona and Real Madrid.
