Mesut Ozil has reportedly resolved to remain at Arsenal this summer amid interest from MLS side DC United.
The German was a sporadic presence for the Gunners last season, managing 24 appearances as question marks loomed over his role under new manager Unai Emery.
Reports from the United States have claimed that Ozil has been targeted by DC United as a replacement for Wayne Rooney, who will join Derby County in a player-coach role in January 2020.
According to Goal.com, Ozil has decided to stay put in North London and will not entertain any offers from the MLS.
Arsenal's hierarchy were reportedly open to dispensing with Ozil, who earns £350,000 a week, as the club seeks to lower its wage bill.
Ozil and teammate Sead Kolasinac have not been included in the Arsenal squad for this weekend's meeting with Newcastle United amid security concerns after the pair were targeted by two men with knives in Golders Green last month.
