Mick McCarthy happy with Tyrone Mings interest

Ipswich Town manager Mick McCarthy insists that he is happy to see defender Tyrone Mings attracting interest from Arsenal.

Ipswich Town manager Mick McCarthy has revealed that he is happy to see his players attracting interest from the Premier League.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has confirmed that he is an admirer of defender Tyrone Mings after reports had linked the Gunners with an £8m move for the 21-year-old.

McCarthy told BBC Radio Suffolk: "I'm glad that they are looking at him. It's great that.

"I hope Chelsea are looking at Christophe Berra and Man United are looking at David McGoldrick, because if that's the case, it means that we've got good players."

Mings has made 18 appearances for the Tractor Boys this season.
