Liverpool make bid for Real Madrid's Asier Illarramendi?

Liverpool want to sign Real Madrid midfielder Asier Illarramendi, according to a report.

Liverpool have reportedly lodged a bid for Real Madrid midfielder Asier Illarramendi.

The 25-year-old is expected to leave the Spanish giants after finding first-team opportunities limited at Santiago Bernabeu.

Arsenal are said to be interested in Illarramendi, with reports suggesting that the defensive midfielder will be on his way to the Emirates Stadium this summer.

Liverpool, though, have made an offer to sign the former Spain youth international, according to Marca.

It is thought that Real want at least £23m for Illarramendi.
