Juventus director general Beppe Morotta has hinted that the Italian club may be ready to give up their pursuit of Arsenal striker Robin van Persie.
The Italian club have been linked with a move for the Dutch international after he made it clear that he intends to leave the Emirates Stadium.
However, quotes in Italy attributed to Morotta have indicated that any chance of a deal for van Persie could be fading.
Morotta said: "It's necessary to always have dreams and ambitions, but at the same time you also have to contend with the reality of everyday facts.
"We're relaxed and we know what we have to do. This is the most important thing."
Reports had suggested that Juventus were preparing a bid of £20m for the 28-year-old.
