Hertha Berlin will reportedly not make a decision on the future of Arsenal loanee Matteo Guendouzi until the end of the season.
Guendouzi was sent on a season-long loan to Hertha in October after falling out of favour under Gunners boss Mikel Arteta.
The 21-year-old midfielder has been impressive for the Bundesliga outfit, establishing himself in Bruno Labbadia's side, where he has scored twice in 10 league appearances this campaign.
German news outlet Bild reports that Arsenal may consider recalling the Frenchman this month to bolster their own options in the middle and will try to reintegrate him back into the first team squad before his contract expires in 2022.
Hertha Berlin, who currently sit 12th in the Bundesliga, have been pleased with Guendouzi's recent impact, but are not planning on signing him permanently any time soon.
"No decision will be made before the end of the season," managing director Michael Preetz said.
Guendouzi joined Arsenal in the summer of 2018 from French side Lorient and made over 80 appearances for the Gunners before joining Hertha on loan this season.
