Everton's Amadou Onana reveals that he hopes to play at one of the world's biggest clubs in the future, amid interest from Arsenal and Chelsea

Everton's Amadou Onana has left the door open for some of the Premier League's biggest clubs to come in for him this summer.

Onana rejected interest from both Arsenal and Chelsea during the January transfer window, opting to stay with the Toffees to help in their fight for survival.

However, the Belgian midfielder has gone on record to state he sees himself making the step up in the near future.

Speaking to SoFoot about where he sees himself in five years, Onana said: "I see myself having had a lot of life experiences, which will have made me learn a lot about human beings in general, as well as about myself.

"I see myself, God willing, in one of the biggest clubs recognised worldwide."

Onana instantly received adulation from the Everton faithful at his willingness to stick around for the second half of this season, with the club in dire straits, currently sat in the relegation zone.

Come the summer though, regardless if Everton survive or not, Onana may follow a similar path to Richarlison at the start of this season, when the Brazilian left Goodison Park in search of European football and major honours.

With both Arsenal and Chelsea in the hunt for midfield reinforcements, Onana joins a list including Declan Rice and Moises Caicedo of players linked with one of the London heavyweights.

Given Arsenal's league position currently, at the top of the Premier League, the lure of Champions League football may leave them in a stronger position during the summer, as Chelsea are set to struggle to qualify for Europe altogether.

Potential relegation for Everton could leave Onana available at a much cheaper price too, so Premier League clubs will be on high alert.
