Everton have become the latest club to be credited with an interest in signing Manchester City's Oleksandr Zinchenko during the summer transfer window, according to a report.
The Ukrainian has been heavily linked with a move away from the Premier League champions this summer, with the likes of West Ham United, Arsenal and Barcelona all being interested.
City are said to be open to selling to the 25-year-old as they pursue a deal for Brighton & Hove Albion's left-back Marc Cucurella, whilst Zinchenko himself is said to be open to the idea of ending his five-year stay with Pep Guardiola's side.
Everton have joined the race to sign the versatile Ukraine international according to The Athletic, who are reporting that Zinchenko is one of the players that City could sell this summer in order to free up funds.
Gabriel Jesus and Raheem Sterling could also be heading for the exit door according to the report, as City look to rake in transfer fees to cover the outlay on Erling Braut Haaland, as well as the potential arrivals of Kalvin Phillips and Cucurella.
It was reported recently that Zinchenko would only be willing to move on from the champions should he be guaranteed a role in his preferred position - central midfield - after filling in in a left-back role for much of his time in Manchester.
Everton boss Frank Lampard is searching for central midfield reinforcements this summer as he looks to transform the Toffees into a side that is comfortable in possession of the ball in the 2022-23 campaign, after his side narrowly avoided relegation to the Championship last season.
