Barcelona have reportedly identified Manchester City left-back Oleksandr Zinchenko as a potential target if they fail to recruit Chelsea's Marcos Alonso this summer.
Alonso, who will soon be entering the final year of his contract at Stamford Bridge, has been strongly linked with a move to Camp Nou after expressing his desire to play for a La Liga club.
The 31-year-old is believed to be one of Barca's primary targets and one report claims that the Spaniard has already agreed personal terms to join the club this summer.
However, reports in Spain claim that the Catalan giants have drawn up a list of potential alternatives should they fail to sign Alonso, with Zinchenko at the top of this list.
The report adds that Barcelona are now seriously exploring a proposed move for the versatile Ukraine international, who was recommended to the club by former Man City forward Ferran Torres.
The 25-year-old, who has been at the Etihad Stadium since 2016, is understood to be open to leaving the Citizens this summer in search of regular first-team football.
Barca could face competition from both Arsenal and West Ham United for Zinchenko, who made 28 appearances for City across all competitions in the 2021-22 campaign, including just 10 starts in the Premier League.
