Celta Vigo sign Theo Bongonda

Celta Vigo sign Theo Bongonda from Zulte-Waregem on a four-year deal.

Celta Vigo have beaten off a host of interest to sign Belgian attacker Theo Bongonda on a four-year contract from Zulte-Waregem.

The 19-year-old had previously been linked with a move to Arsenal, while a number of European clubs were said to be preparing a move this month.

However, Celta, who have hopes of a European finish in La Liga this season, have secured the teenager's signature for a figure in the region of £800,000.

Bongonda, who can play in a host of forward positions, has already represented his country at Under-21 level.
