Barcelona and Real Madrid will rival Arsenal and Liverpool for the signature of Palmeiras teenager Vitor Reis, according to a report.

Barcelona and Real Madrid are reportedly ready to rival two of England's biggest clubs for the signature of Brazilian teenager Vitor Reis, with the defender expected to be on the move next year.

The 18-year-old has been capped at Under-16s and Under-17s level by Brazil, and he is regarded as one of the best young talents in South America, with a recent report claiming that Real Madrid were tracking him.

Liverpool have also been credited with an interest in Reis, while Arsenal are said to be keeping a close eye on his situation, with Palmeiras seemingly facing an uphill battle to keep hold of him.

According to Fichajes, there is also interest from Barcelona, with the Catalan giants ready to fight for the signature of a player who has a contract with Palmeiras until the summer of 2028.

Arsenal, Liverpool have also been linked with Reis

Reis came through the youth system at his current club, and he has represented their first team on 14 occasions, scoring twice in the process.

Transfermarkt Brazilian football expert Marcos Watts recently listed Reis's qualities.

"Despite not being a very physical player, he's very good in the air and has shown great awareness for an 18 year old. He's also very good on the ball, both for setting up the play from the back and for attacking - which has already been translated into two goals so early in his career," he said.

"Another good mental attribute he's already shown is his decision making - he knows where the spaces are and knows when to move forward or when to make a tackle, something that is quite remarkable for a player so young."

Which club will win the race for Reis?

It is difficult to look past Real Madrid considering their recent success when it comes to signing Brazilian youngsters, with Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo and Endrick among those to arrive at Bernabeu.

Los Blancos will fancy their chances of going up against any team in world football for a player, and it would certainly not be a surprise to see Reis in the famous white shirt next year.

Real Madrid's chief scout Juni Calafat is expected to closely monitor the centre-back's development in the coming months, as a new player is set to arrive at Bernabeu in that area of the field next summer.

Barcelona, though, will also surely appeal to Reis, and it would be fair to place the two La Liga giants as the favourites to sign the defender ahead of Arsenal and Liverpool.
