Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang 'desperate to leave Arsenal'

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is reportedly 'desperate' to leave Arsenal, despite the likely managerial appointment of Mikel Arteta.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang reportedly has no intention of committing his long-term future to Arsenal.

Earlier on Thursday, it was suggested that the Gunners were hopeful that the appointment of Mikel Arteta would lead to a change of heart from Aubameyang, who has just 18 months left on his contract.

However, according to The Independent, the Gabon international wants to leave the North London outfit in one of the next two transfer windows.

Despite being regarded as a key man, Arsenal will need to consider any offers due to the risk of losing the striker on a free transfer in 2021.

The report adds that several of Aubameyang's teammates share a similar view on their own futures after the club's recent struggles in the Premier League.
