Arsenal 'want Mathieu Debuchy as Bacary Sagna replacement'

Arsenal are reportedly pondering an offer for Newcastle United's Mathieu Debuchy.

Arsenal are reportedly lining up a bid for Newcastle United's £8m-rated defender Mathieu Debuchy.

Gunners manager Arsene Wenger sees the France international as the ideal replacement for his compatriot Bacary Sagna, who left the club to join Manchester City.

Arsenal face competition from Paris Saint-Germain for Debuchy's services, but have already made discreet enquiries about his availability, The Mirror reports.

Wenger is also said to have renewed his interest in Queens Park Rangers striker Loic Remy.
