Arsenal have reportedly joined Tottenham Hotspur in the race for RB Leipzig attacker Marcel Sabitzer.
The 26-year-old has been a key player for Leipzig since arriving from Red Bull Salzburg in 2015, scoring 46 times and registering 38 assists in 204 appearances for the Bundesliga outfit.
Tottenham are interested in signing the Austria international, claims Leipzig sporting director Markus Krosche, but according to European football expert Julien Laurens, Arsenal are also in the hunt.
Laurens told ESPN that the Gunners are "very keen" on the playmaker, who has scored three times and registered three assists in 16 appearances at club level this term.
Sabitzer is believed to be valued by his German club in the region of £45m but his contract at the Red Bull Arena only has 18 months left to run, placing Julian Nagelsmann's side in a difficult position.
Arsenal are thought to be determined to bring a new playmaker to the Emirates Stadium in January and have also been linked with Real Madrid's Isco and Inter Milan's Christian Eriksen.
