Fulham forward Clint Dempsey reportedly emerges as a summer target for Arsenal.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger will reportedly move for Fulham attacker Clint Dempsey at the end of the season.

The 29-year-old has scored 22 goals in 41 games this season, and is said to feature prominently on Wenger's list of summer targets, according to the Daily Mail.

The American international's contract is due to expire in 2013, with talks over a new deal at Craven Cottage said to be underway.

Wenger is confident that he can secure the £10m-rated forward, however, in order to boost his squad for next season.

Dempsey has scored 59 goals for Fulham since joining the club in 2006.
