Arsenal reportedly remain keen to strike a deal for Ajax goalkeeper Andre Onana.
The Cameroon international remains out of action until November due to a doping ban, but his contract situation at Ajax has supposedly alerted several clubs to his availability.
Arsenal were thought to have been at the head of the queue for Onana's signature only for Lyon to overtake them in negotiations, leaving Mikel Arteta considering a move for Sheffield United's Aaron Ramsdale instead.
However, Dutch outlet De Telegraaf claims that Onana pulled the plug on the Lyon deal as he holds out for a move to a 'bigger club', which could see Arsenal reignite their pursuit of the shot-stopper.
Onana now has less than 12 months left to run on his deal with Ajax, who would supposedly be happy to sanction his sale for a mere £5m in the current transfer window, but Marc Overmars has insisted that Arsenal have not made contact over a move for the goalkeeper.
The 25-year-old has won two Eredivisie titles during his six years with Ajax and has made 204 appearances for the club in total, keeping 83 clean sheets and reaching the semi-finals of the 2018-19 Champions League.
