Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur will reportedly go head to head for the signature of Sampdoria defender Joachim Andersen after both clubs held talks with the Serie A outfit.
Andersen, 22, only joined Sampdoria from FC Twente in the summer of 2017, and made just eight appearances for the Italian club during the 2017-18 campaign.
The Dane has already made 13 appearances for Sampdoria this term, however, and it is understood that his performances have drawn a host of attention, with Manchester United said to be in the running.
According to Calciomercato, Sampdoria directors Carlo Osti and Antonio Romei flew to England on Thursday for talks with both Arsenal and Tottenham ahead of a potential switch to the Premier League.
The report adds that both clubs have scouted Andersen this month, with the capital rivals now preparing to battle for his services.
Andersen is believed to be valued in the region of £25m by Sampdoria.
