Arsenal allegedly receive a boost ahead of a potential chase for an £80m-rated Premier League attacker.

Arsenal have allegedly received a boost in the race to add another forward to their ranks in 2025.

The Gunners have had few issues scoring goals in this season's Premier League with 29 strikes coming from their opening 15 matches.

However, much has been made about the amount of goals coming from set pieces at a time when none of Mikel Arteta's squad have scored more than five times in the top flight.

Furthermore, there has constant speculation regarding an addition in the final third during one of the upcoming transfer windows, one of their alleged targets currently representing West Ham United.

According to TBR Football, the Hammers are open to cashing in on one of their star players in January or next summer.

The report suggests that the East Londoners are not against selling Mohammed Kudus in order to generate funds for other targets.

West Ham shelled out well in excess of £130m to add fresh faces to their squad during the previous transfer window, yet it has currently not helped transform Julen Lopetegui's side into challengers for European qualification.

Kudus has failed to build on his encouraging first campaign at the club, contributing just two goals and two assists from his 10 starts in the top flight.

Although he has still offered a constant threat in the attacking area of the pitch, those numbers have seemingly given a nudge to club officials to consider any offers.

On the flip side, despite the Ghana international having previously been valued at £80m, no club will realistically be prepared to meet those demands as it stands.

Kudus helps keep Lopetegui in a job

His latest start came in Monday's 2-1 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League, a result that effectively keeps Lopetegui in a job.

Tomas Soucek and Jarrod Bowen scored second-half goals either side of Matt Doherty's equaliser to move the Hammers to within seven points of fifth-placed Nottingham Forest.

West Ham have to wait a full week before they are back in action again when they make the trip to face Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium.
