Arsenal reportedly set their asking price for out-of-favour goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale amid interest from Chelsea and Newcastle United.

Arsenal have reportedly set their asking price for Aaron Ramsdale ahead of the summer transfer window.

Ramsdale spent two years as Arsenal's first-choice goalkeeper following his arrival from Sheffield United in the summer of 2021.

However, the 25-year-old has spent the majority of the current campaign watching on from the bench after losing his place to Brentford loanee David Raya.

As a result, the England international has featured in 11 competitive matches this season, with just two of those appearances taking place in 2024.

Arsenal set £60m valuation

Ramsdale appeared between the posts for January's FA Cup defeat to Liverpool, before he returned to the side for last month's Premier League win against Raya's parent club Brentford.

With Raya set to join on a permanent deal this summer, there is little sign that Ramsdale will be able to reclaim his place in the Arsenal side.

Ramsdale is seemingly ready to leave Arsenal as he looks to gain regular playing time and boost his hopes of remaining in the England setup.

According to TEAMtalk, the Gunners will demand a £60m fee to part ways with Ramsdale, who has a contract until June 2026, with an option to extend by a further year.

Ramsdale's potential suitors

With Ramsdale heading towards the exit door at the Emirates, his situation has caught the attention of both Chelsea and Newcastle United.

Chelsea are keen to strengthen their goalkeeping department after being left unconvinced by Robert Sanchez following his arrival last summer.

Although Sanchez is currently sidelined, he is unlikely to force his way back into the side after being replaced by Djordje Petrovic.

Meanwhile, Newcastle appear to be on the lookout for a new goalkeeper, having been without Nick Pope since December due to a shoulder problem.

Wolverhampton Wanderers are also believed to be keeping tabs on Ramsdale, while the likes of AC Milan and Bayern Munich have been credited with an interest.
