Arsenal have allegedly decided to continue with their efforts to sign Freiburg defender Caglar Soyuncu.
The Gunners are currently without a manager due to the departure of Arsene Wenger, and it remains unclear who will replace the Frenchman with Manchester City assistant Mikel Arteta and Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri both being linked with the position.
However, according to The Telegraph, Arsenal still intend on spending as much as £35m in order to bring Soyuncu to the Emirates Stadium.
Head of recruitment Sven Mislintat is the key figure behind the deal and wants the 21-year-old to be signed on a long-term contract after impressing in the Bundesliga.
Soyuncu has featured for Freiburg on 30 occasions this season, while the 21-year-old has already earned nine caps for Turkey.
