Napoli midfielder Fabian Ruiz has reportedly been the subject of an enquiry from Premier League side Arsenal.
The 25-year-old is only under contract until the summer of 2023, and his future has been well speculated for a number of years, with a host of top European clubs said to have registered interest on numerous occasions.
However, the Spaniard has remained in Naples since July 2018, after he joined from Spanish side Real Betis, and has featured in 22 Serie A appearances so far this campaign to help his side climb to second in the league as things stand.
Ruiz could be set to leave Italy at the end of the season though, according to Raffaele Auriemma, as cited by arenanapoli.it.
The Italian journalist has highlighted how Arsenal are said to have made an enquiry for the midfielder, but that Ruiz is not attracted by a move to the Gunners.
Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid are said to be the desired destinations of the Napoli man instead, in a blow to Arsenal and Mikel Arteta.
The Arsenal boss was reportedly interested in bolstering his central midfield options in January, with the likes of Juventus' Arthur heavily linked with a move to the Emirates Stadium.
