Arsenal are reportedly keen to add a central midfielder to their ranks next season, with Germany international Sami Khedira a prime target.
The Mirror claims that Gunners chief executive Ivan Gazidis has been given a list of potential recruits and will start to move in the transfer market as the World Cup nears its climax.
While Khedira is thought to be a first choice for Arsene Wenger, the Arsenal boss is also said to be looking at Southampton's French international Morgan Schneiderlin as a possible alternative if they fail to land the Real Madrid player.
Khedira has only 12 months left on his contract with the Champions League winners and is rumoured to be valued at around £18m.
