Arsenal 'join race to sign Nemanja Matic'

Arsenal become the latest club to be linked with a bid for Benfica's Nemanja Matic.

Arsenal have reportedly joined Chelsea, Manchester City, Manchester United and Real Madrid in the race to secure the services of Benfica star Nemanja Matic.

The Gunners have been in touch with the midfielder's agent Dejan Mitrovic about a potential move to the Emirates Stadium, according to talkSPORT.

Matic is no stranger to the Premier League, having played at Chelsea earlier in his career before moving to Portugal in a deal that saw David Luiz head in the opposite direction.

The news follows reports linking Arsenal with a move for Fulham striker Dimitar Berbatov.
