How Arsenal could line up against Aston Villa

Sports Mole looks at how Arsenal could line up in Tuesday's Premier League clash with Aston Villa.

Arsenal will be looking to make it three victories in a row in all competitions when they travel to relegation-threatened Aston Villa in the Premier League on Tuesday night.

The Gunners beat champions Liverpool in the league on July 15 before booking their spot in the final of the FA Cup on Saturday courtesy of a 2-0 victory over Manchester City.

Mikel Arteta's side are currently 10th in the Premier League table, having struggled for consistency this term, but the capital outfit could still finish as high as sixth.

Here, Sports Mole looks at how Arsenal could line up at Villa Park.

Arsenal remain without the services of Gabriel Martinelli, Bernd Leno, Pablo Mari and Calum Chambers through injury, although Mesut Ozil could be available for selection as he works his way back from a back problem.

The XI is expected to have a similar look to the one that started against Liverpool in the league last time out, with Rob Holding, Cedric Soares, Lucas Torreira and Reiss Nelson all likely to return.

Bukayo Saka could also be back in the side, having been somewhat surprisingly left out of the starting team against Man City, while Sead Kolasinac is in contention to start in a back three.

Eddie Nketiah has missed Arsenal's last three matches through suspension, but the striker is available for the trip to Villa Park and could replace Alexandre Lacazette in the XI.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored a brace against Pep Guardiola's side at Wembley, but the captain is likely to be rested from the start here, with Nicolas Pepe potentially featuring on the left.
