How Arsenal could line up against Sheffield United

Sports Mole looks at how Arsenal could line up in Monday's Premier League clash with Sheffield United.

Arsenal will be looking for their fifth Premier League victory of the season when they travel to Sheffield United on Monday night.

Saturday's results have seen the Gunners drop into fifth spot in the table, but Unai Emery's side would return to third position should they manage to triumph away to the Blades at the start of next week.

Somewhat surprisingly, though, Arsenal have only two one of their previous six Premier League games against Sheffield United.

Here, Sports Mole looks at how the capital outfit could line up under the lights at Bramall Lane.

POSS ARS XI vs. SHEFF UTD

Out: Reiss Nelson (knee)
Doubtful: Alexandre Lacazette (ankle)

Arsenal's first-team squad is in pretty good shape at the moment in terms of injuries, with 19-year-old attacker Reiss Nelson, who has featured on six occasions this season, the only confirmed absentee ahead of this match.

The main talking point surrounds the fitness of Alexandre Lacazette, who has been on the sidelines with an ankle problem since the clash with Tottenham Hotspur at the start of September.

There is every chance that the Frenchman could return for this game having stepped up his recovery in training, and Emery has hinted that the striker could feature in the starting XI, which would be a huge boost for the Gunners.

If Lacazette is indeed fit to start then the in-form Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang would likely be moved into a wide position, with Bukayo Saka the player that could drop out as Nicolas Pepe is expected to feature despite his disappointing form since arriving at the Emirates Stadium.

Further back, Kieran Tierney is in line to make his Premier League debut for the club, but fit-again Hector Bellerin is expected to be disappointed with Calum Chambers seemingly in charge of the right-back spot for the moment.

Granit Xhaka, Dani Ceballos and Matteo Guendouzi are all expected to keep their spots in the XI, meanwhile, meaning that Lucas Torreira will likely have to accept a position on the bench once again.
