Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere will reportedly be fully fit for the start of pre-season after a successful ankle operation.

Arsenal's Jack Wilshere will reportedly be ready for the beginning of the club's pre-season schedule on July 4 after a successful ankle operation.

The 21-year-old has been blighted by the problem for the past two seasons and underwent surgery in May to replace screws in his ankle.

According to The Mirror, the operation was a complete success and the midfielder will be fully fit for the start of Arsenal's pre-season training.

The news also provides a boost to England coach Roy Hodgson ahead of crucial World Cup qualifiers in September.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger recently ruled out the potential sale of Wilshere this summer.
