Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is reportedly prepared to take Robin van Persie on the club's pre-season tour of Asia.
The captain's future at the Emirates Stadium remains in doubt following his recent revelations that he had no intention of extending his current contract, which is due to expire next summer.
Nevertheless, Wenger will insist that the striker joins his teammates on the trip to Kuala Lumpur next weekend unless a concrete offer for his signature is received, according to The People.
The French boss held a similar stance last year when Samir Nasri made it known that he was eager to leave the Gunners. The midfielder travelled to the Far East with the team before being sold to Manchester City.
Premier League champions City are currently the favourites to claim Van Persie's services.
