Kolo Toure out to prove Arsenal made mistake

Liverpool defender Kolo Toure admits that he will attempt to prove a point when he faces Arsenal this weekend.

Kolo Toure has claimed that he will aim to prove Arsenal were wrong to let him go when he faces his former club this weekend.

Liverpool travel to the Emirates on Saturday and Toure admits that he is excited by the prospect of attempting to prove a point to Arsene Wenger.

"It is where I started playing football. They gave me a chance to come here [to England]," he said. "It is always special playing against them but at the same time I want to show them they made a mistake in letting me go.

"I think it is going to be a great game for me. It is always a great time for me when I play against the club I used to play for.

"I will try my best to show them I am a great player - but for my team first as that is most important."

Toure left Arsenal to join Manchester City in 2009.
