Theo Walcott: 'Hard work paid off in win over Chelsea'

Arsenal forward Theo Walcott suggests that his side's recent work in training paid off following the club's dominant 3-0 win over Chelsea in the Premier League.

Arsenal striker Theo Walcott has hinted that his side's work in training paid off after they humbled visitors Chelsea by way of a 3-0 win at the Emirates in the Premier League.

Arsene Wenger's side produced a standout display on home soil, as goals from Alexis Sanchez, Mesut Ozil and Walcott gave the Gunners their first competitive win in five years over the Blues.

"We worked really hard in the week. We know what has happened in the past but it is all about now," said Walcott, according to BBC Sport.

"The guys did really well today. It has been quietly coming. We are all working for each other. Everyone is focused.

"We have been here before. We are not doing ourselves any harm. We just want to keep doing our business. If we keep clean sheets we will win games because we can score goals."

Arsenal currently find themselves in third spot in the league standings after six games.
