Christopher Samba "flattered" by interest from top clubs

Blackburn's Christopher Samba admits that he would be "flattered" by interest from a Champions League club.

Christopher Samba has said that he would be "flattered" if a Champions League club showed interest in him.

The Blackburn defender, who was linked with a move to Arsenal this summer, has denied saying that he wanted to quit the club to fulfil his dream of playing Champions League football.

However, the Congo international admits that he would still be flattered if a Champions League club came calling.

"It's difficult, because you think about your future, your dreams and your own ambition," he said, according to The Mirror, ahead of Arsenal's trip to Ewood Park. "Some people will understand, some won't.

"You ask people what club they dream of playing for and you'll hear different answers. Today, if a club playing in the Champions League came in for me and showed interest, of course I'd be flattered."

Blackburn go in search of their first win of the Premier League campaign against Arsenal this afternoon.
