Jose Mourinho: 'Some clubs disappoint for years and retain their manager'

Jose Mourinho appears to mock Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger by claiming that some clubs have stuck with their boss despite having "disappointed for 15 years".

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho appears to have taken a swipe at Arsenal counterpart Arsene Wenger after claiming that some clubs have stuck with their boss despite having "disappointed for 15 years".

Ahead of the Blues' visit of Manchester City, Mourinho was asked if he was surprised by Manuel Pellegrini extending his contract at the Etihad despite finishing second in the Premier League last season.

The former Real Madrid and Inter Milan boss retorted: "Why? Some other clubs, they have disappointed for 15 years and the manager is the same."

Wenger has managed the Gunners since September 1996.
