Arsenal midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan has urged teammate Aaron Ramsey to sign a new contract with the club.
Ramsey is currently in the final year of his deal at the Emirates Stadium and recently admitted that he is unsure about his future, with contract talks still ongoing between his agent and the club.
However, Mkhitaryan believes that the Wales international has what it takes to become a Gunners legend and hopes that the two parties can come to an agreement.
"I think he has already been at this club for 10 years if I am not wrong," Mkhitaryan told reporters following his side's penalty shootout defeat to Atletico Madrid.
"And it seems that he became a symbol for this club and I will be very happy for him if he is going to sign a new contract because he has a history of Arsenal already.
"I hope he can become a legend for Arsenal after a few years."
Ramsey has made 327 appearances for Arsenal, scoring 58 goals.
