Wigan Athletic manager Roberto Martinez insists that Arsenal just need time for their new players to settle in and claims that they are still a dangerous side.

Wigan Athletic boss Roberto Martinez has insisted that Arsenal are as dangerous as ever, despite criticism of the Gunners' performances.

Martinez welcomes Arsene Wenger's side to the DW Stadium on Saturday and warned his players that they have a tough game on their hands.

"You look at this Arsenal side, they've had to cope with many players moving away and new players coming in," said Martinez. "They need a little bit of time but I went to see them on Monday and they were very impressive.

"This Arsenal side will never change the way they want to win football games, the football philosophy that they've got, and that's admirable.

"You're going to see this Arsenal side going from strength to strength. They're still in the Champions League, which is the best competition in the world, and I think this team has got a lot to offer."

Arsenal currently sit in fifth place, while Martinez's side are in 18th position in the Premier League.
