Norwich boss Chris Hughton claims that his side deserved their 1-0 win over Arsenal this evening.

Norwich City manager Chris Hughton has claimed that his side deserved their win over Arsenal this evening.

A first-half Grant Holt goal was enough to secure a 1-0 win over the Gunners, giving Norwich their first league win of the season.

Hughton believes that, although Arsenal enjoyed the majority of the possession, his side did well to keep their chances to a minimum and were good value for the three points.

"It was worth the wait. I thought we deserved the win. They are always going to have lots of possession but we restricted their chances," he said.

"It's a well earned and overdue three points. It was a bout a team performance today. There's never been a lack of belief in the dressing room."

The result lifts Norwich out of the relegation zone and up to 15th in the Premier League table.
