Calum Chambers: 'I've improved since joining Arsenal'

Arsenal defender Calum Chambers believes that he has matured during his first six months at the Emirates Stadium.

Arsenal defender Calum Chambers has revealed that he is looking to develop with each game that he plays for the North London outfit.

Chambers has made 27 appearances since joining the Gunners from Southampton in the summer, and although he has dropped out of the side in recent weeks, the England international has been happy with his opening six months at the Emirates Stadium.

The 20-year-old told the official Arsenal magazine: "I think that I've matured a lot. I've worked on my game, I've watched a lot of my performances back and I've gained a lot of experience both in playing in the Premier League and in Europe.

"I think that I've added a lot to my game, which is good. I just want to keep working hard and keep learning from each match I play.

"I've played a lot and I've been happy with the first half of the season. I'm confident in my own ability and I hope that the coaches and the fans are happy with my performances."

Chambers could start for Arsene Wenger's team when they face Brighton & Hove Albion in the FA Cup fourth round on Sunday afternoon.
