Arsenal 'want to speak to former Napoli boss Carlo Ancelotti over manager role'

Arsenal are reportedly keen on holding talks with former Napoli boss Carlo Ancelotti over the vacant managerial position at the Emirates.

Arsenal will reportedly seek to hold talks with former Napoli boss Carlo Ancelotti over the vacant managerial position at the Emirates.

The Gunners are said to have 10 candidates lined up to be interviewed for the permanent manager position following Unai Emery's departure last month.

Ancelotti, meanwhile, is now out of a job after Napoli removed the Italian from his position despite a 4-0 win over Genk on Tuesday.

According to the Daily Mail, the North London club will now consider Ancelotti for the role and are set to establish talks with the Italian.

Reports have indicated that former Valencia manager Marcelino was the first of many candidates to have talks with the Arsenal hierarchy earlier this week.

Despite claims that Paris Saint-Germain coach Thomas Tuchel was frontrunner for the role, it has been suggested that the owning Kroenke family want to make an in-house appointment, with Patrick Vieira and Mikel Arteta seen as contenders.
