Hector Bellerin ruled out for four weeks with ankle injury

Arsenal right-back Hector Bellerin is ruled out for four weeks after suffering an ankle injury against Tottenham Hotspur.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has confirmed that Hector Bellerin will be on the sidelines for the next four weeks after suffering an ankle injury.

The 21-year-old sparked concern over his fitness after he withdrew from the Spain Under-21s squad last Wednesday during the international break.

Bellerin was a doubt heading into this Saturday's Premier League showdown against Manchester United, and not only will he miss the trip to Old Trafford, the full-back will be absent for the next four weeks.

In Thursday's press conference, Wenger told reporters that Bellerin suffered the injury as a result of a "very strong tackle" from Danny Rose in the "last 10 seconds" of the Gunners' 1-1 draw with North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur on November 6.

The right-back is likely to miss league games against Bournemouth, West Ham United, Stoke City and Everton, as well as Champions League group matches against Paris Saint-Germain and Basel.
