Half-Time Report: Honours even at Goodison Park

Maroune Fellaini's goal cancels out theo Walcott's opener to send Everton and Arsenal into the half-time break on a level pegging.

The home crowd were left stunned as Theo Walcott broke the deadlock in the very first minute.

The England international was played in by Aaron Ramsey, before chipping over Tim Howard and sending the travelling support into raptures.

However, the Blues began to stamp their authority on the game and could have drawn level in the 23rd minute, only for Per Mertesacker to intercept Marouane Fellaini in the box to deny him at the vital moment.

The Belgian was not to be denied, however, and notched his seventh goal of the season four minutes later with a low driven shot.
