Wojciech Sczcesny urges focus for FA Cup mission

Wojciech Szczesny urges his Arsenal teammates to forget about their 3-0 defeat to Everton today and focus on winning the FA Cup.

Wojciech Sczcesny has urged his Arsenal teammates to forget about their 3-0 defeat to Everton today and focus on winning the FA Cup.

Arsene Wenger's men were humbled at Goodison Park this afternoon as the Toffees moved to within a point of the fourth-placed Gunners with a game in hand.

However, the Poland interational is remaining upbeat and believes that an FA Cup semi-final win over Wigan Athletic next Saturday will restore the North Londoners' confidence.

"We've got plenty to play for still. We've got the FA Cup now, so we're going to have to switch on and focus very quickly and forget about this," Szczesny told Sky Sports.

"I hope we can kick on from now and start a good run."

Next weekend's clash at Wembley is set to kick off at the slightly later time of 5.07pm to pay respects to the 25th anniversary of the Hillsborough tragedy.
