Arsenal team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Southampton

Sports Mole rounds up all of Arsenal's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Saturday's FA Cup showdown with Southampton.

Arsenal resume the defence of their FA Cup crown on Saturday when they travel to Southampton for the fourth round.

The Gunners needed extra time to overcome Newcastle United in the third round at the Emirates but eventually got the job done thanks to goals from Emile Smith Rowe and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Arsenal had no such problems in 90 minutes against the Magpies on Monday in the Premier League, though, as two strikes from the resurgent Aubameyang either side of a Bukayo Saka goal saw Mikel Arteta's men return to winning ways with a resounding 3-0 victory.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up all of Arsenal's latest injury and suspension news ahead of Saturday's game.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang

Status: Minor doubt
Type of injury: Stomach
Possible return date: January 23 (vs. Southampton)

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang did not have the chance to complete his hat-trick on Monday night after heading down the tunnel with stomach problems. However, the captain returned to the stands to watch his team see out the win and appeared to be in good spirits, so he should be available here.

Dani Ceballos

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Calf
Possible return date: January 23 (vs. Southampton)

Real Madrid loanee Dani Ceballos was nowhere to be seen on Monday night due to a calf problem - the third Arsenal player to sustain an injury in that area over the past week. The Spaniard will be assessed ahead of this game, but he has not been ruled out.

Pablo Mari

Status: Out
Type of injury: Calf
Possible return date: January 30 (vs. Manchester United)

Pablo Mari enjoyed an impressive but short-lived run in the team before suffering a calf injury during a training session. Arteta has since conceded that the Spaniard will miss "a few matches", ruling him out of this game.

ARSENAL'S SUSPENSION LIST

Arsenal have no players suspended for this FA Cup game.
