Arsene Wenger: 'No surprise if Juventus win Champions League'

Arsene Wenger believes that Juventus have what it takes to win the Champions League this season.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger insists that it would not be a surprise to see Juventus win the Champions League this season.

The Italian champions were knocked out of the competition at the quarter-final stage last season by eventual winners Bayern Munich, but Wenger believes that Antonio Conte's side will improve this year.

"Whoever puts Juventus among the possible surprises for the next Champions League is wrong, because Juve is not a surprise, but a strong team, which has come back to the top after a few years," Wenger told Corriere dello Sport.

"Juve can do great things, also I think the distance between the top clubs in Europe and the Italian teams has closed."

Juventus face Real Madrid, Galatasaray and Copenhagen in Group B.
