Report: John Arne Riise edges closer to Indian Super League switch

The Kerala Blasters are closing in on the signing of Norwegian full-back John Arne Riise, according to reports.

Former Liverpool full-back John Arne Riise is reportedly on the brink of joining Kerala Blasters in the Indian Super League.

The 34-year-old recently left Cypriot side APOEL Nicosia by mutual consent after just one season, and is on the look-out for a new club.

Sky Sports News reports that he is set to become a marquee signing in the ISL and he will play under former Leicester City manager Peter Taylor.

The Kerala Blasters are co-owned by cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar.
